Hello! My name is Danielle Groenen and I’m in the final months of writing up my PhD dissertation in Meteorology at Florida State University. My PhD project is related to diagnosing Central American rainfall patterns and determining the dynamics involved in triggering the onset and demise of the rainy season. I’m passionate about climate change, and am currently learning more about the links between climate change and its health impacts in an online course given by the Yale School of Public Health. I have extensive experience in outreach and education, as well as research experience at three universities and two prominent science organizations.
