Dr. Danielle Groenen

Dr. Danielle Groenen is a Research Scientist at The University of Alabama in Huntsville working on NASA’s Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT).  She currently works on the Analysis and Review of the Common Metadata Repository (ARC) project and the Commercial Smallsat Data Acquisition (CSDA) Program. Her past work was related to mission/data documentation and science outreach within the Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) at the NASA Langley Research Center. In 2019, she graduated from Florida State University with a Ph.D. in Meteorology. Dr. Groenen’s Ph.D. dissertation was related to diagnosing Central American rainfall patterns and determining the dynamics involved in triggering the onset and demise of the rainy season.
